Quick Tips for Using Terminal Agent 🚀

Terminal Agent is evolving—the best way to understand it? Use it, experiment, and see what works. Here are a few tips to get started:

1️⃣ Limit Orders Convert to WETH—Start Small.

  • Limit orders require WETH, so ETH is converted automatically when placing one.
  • Test with a smaller amount first—if the execution looks good, convert more ETH to WETH and go bigger.

2️⃣ Be Specific When Asking the Agent to Act.

  • The more precise your instructions, the better the execution.
  • Example: Instead of “Buy when it dips”, try “Buy 0.2 ETH of $TERMINAL if the price drops 10%”.
  • The agent is built to follow clear prompts—test different phrasing to see what works best.

3️⃣ Track Your Trades & Manage Your Wallet.

  • You can check past swaps & active limit orders anytime in the transactions page.
  • Make sure you have enough ETH or WETH before setting up new limit orders.
  • If something doesn't go through, check balance & approvals before retrying.

4️⃣ Terminal Agent Runs on Base—Stay Within the Network.

  • All automations happen on Base, so ensure your assets are there.
  • Wrap/Unwrap ETH as needed to optimize your trades.
  • Sending crypto? You can transfer to Farcaster usernames directly.

5️⃣ Keep Playing. Keep Learning.

  • This is a work in progress, and the best way to improve it is by using it.
  • Try swaps, limit orders, and portfolio tracking—get comfortable with agent-driven execution.
  • If you figure out an efficient way to use Terminal, share your insights—we’re all learning together.
